Show Reading Program Slated At Library Danger Maze II: A Summer Reading Adventure, will start in k Davis County Library on Tuesday, June 19 at the North (ranch in Clearfield, 2-3:30 and on Wednesday, June 20, at the Ifouth Branch in Bountiful, 2-3:30 and the Headquarters Library iFarmington 10:30-12. The program will run for seven weeks. Registration will begin on May 29 and will continue until June 9. i n order to participate, children must be at least seven years old. " I here is no upper age limit. THIS YEAR'S programs include visits from book characters, uch as Miss Clavel, from the Madeline books, and Miss Viola jwamp, from "Miss Nelson is Back." Children will have an Ipportunity to interview the characters and discover little-known Itcrets about their lives and times. Other programs will give iliildrenan opportunity to play a variety of musical instruments, ! io prepare simple food dishes, to make puppets arid to explore grafts, hobbies and collections which can help them fill the hours b summer vacation becomes a bit too long. The programs will be structured, however, to promote reading. t each program, books will be emphasized and children will be wuraged to view and use books as tools to widen their range of nterests and to make their personal interests more rewarding.
