Show Farmiingtoiri News Mrs. Miller and her late husband Dan, moved into their home on State Street 70 years ago when just married. This old home was the third to be built in Farmington, in 1849. Mrs. Miller remains in the home and her health is not as good as it was some years ago, but she enjoys her family and friends. Philip R. Hughes was sworn into the State and Federal Bar of Utah, in ceremonies held at the Salt Lake Post Office Building, on April 30. His mother, Helen Hughes and brother and wife, Jonathan and Connie Hughes, also attended. There were 67 graduates in this group. Several prominent lawyers spoke and mentioned there were 4,000 lawyers in Utah at the present pre-sent time. Philip graduated from the Denver De-nver Law School and is a member of the Colorado Bar. He also has a degree in engineering, as well as his law degree. ii By KATHRYN JENNINGS 451-1017 E, f The 11th Ward Boy Scout Troop ': 534 will sponsor a rummage sale in the Alpha Beta parking lot in Cen- terville on May 16. s Any donations of articles that might be sellable will be picked up on May 5. If you have anything 'which could be donated to this ' rummage sale, please call Jim Taylor at 451-2205. This is a benefit Tor the Boy Scouts of Troop 534. Anything large or small will be sacceptable. ! Leonie Miller celebrated her 89th birthday, April 15 at the home 'of Duane and Alice Miller. There iwas a birthday cake and gifts. Other guests were granddaughters July Bliss from Idaho and Sherry Green of California. I On Sunday, after the birthday, a grandson, Ricky and Joleen Miller , and family of Fruit Heights hon-jf hon-jf ored Mrs. Miller with a special din-iner din-iner at their home. Children of ,;Ricky and Joleen were also present. |
