Show Reverend Proctor Returns Chase was priest in care of the parish par-ish while Mr. Proctor was in Berkeley. Ber-keley. Rev. Chase and Mr. Proctor have resumed normal pastoral duties and responsibilities in the parish and invite you to worship. The members of the parish are Protestant, affiliated with the Un ited Church of Christ and the Episcopal Epis-copal Church in an ecumenical endeavor en-deavor to witness to "One Lord, one faith, and one baptism." The parish is responsible to the Reverend Re-verend Dr. Clyde Miller of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ, located in Denver, and to Bishop Otis Charles of the Diocese of Utah of the Episcopal Church, located in Salt Lake City, kj Christian Movements and Liturgies, Litur-gies, with special emphasis on the area of Judaism. ONE OF the great advantages of being in Berkeley was to share weekends with the monks of the Order of the Holy Cross. The monks are Anglican and Roman in an ecumenical experiment approved by the Pope of Rome and the Archbishop of Canterbury. . While there, Mr. Proctor taught them in a seminar each week, the various styles and approaches to preaching in the Reformed Protestant Protes-tant tradition. The Sabbatical time was given to Mr. Proctor by the governing board of Bountiful Community Church, in recognition of his 13 years of ministry in this community. commun-ity. Friends and members gathered to welcome his return. THE REVEREND Father Peter The Rev. Donald M. Proctor, senior pastor at Bountiful Community Com-munity Church, returned to his ministry at Easter, with the parishoners. He had completed his sabbatical course of studies which was outlined by the staff of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific (Episcopal) and the Pacific School of Religion, (United Church of Christ). IN ADDITION, Mr. Proctor attended classes at the Jesuit School of Theology (Roman Catholic) and the Dominican School of Theology (Roman Catholic) . The course of study took place on the campus of the University Univer-sity of California in Berkeley. In addition, he was tutored by two professors each week. His classes were Genesis, Theory and Development; Early Church Liturgies; The Divine Comedy of Dante; Nineteenth Century Church History. The major ma-jor readings and tutoring sessions were centered in the field of Early |
