Show Governor Hopeful To Address Local NARFE Kem Gardner, contender for the Democratic Party nomination for the office of governor, will address a meeting of the Bountiful Chapter of the National Association of Retired Re-tired Federal Employees at the Golden Years Center on May 14 at 12:30 p.m. HE WILL discuss the current political situation in state government govern-ment and its possible affect on the quality of life for Utah's Senior Citizens. All interested persons are invited to attend. The final firm dates for the Utah State Federation convention have been set. The convention will be held on May 24, 25 and 26 at the Excelsior Hotel, 1st N. at IstW. in Provo. Details and times for individual indi-vidual sessions will be available at the May 14 chapter meeting or from Chapter President Boyd Ivory. Iv-ory. All Association members and other retired federal employees are invited to attend. THE BOUNTIFUL Chapter notes with regret the death on April 19 of former chapter treasurer, John D. Parrish, who served his fellow retirees faithfully for over six years. He was a staunch supporter sup-porter of the Association and its goals. The chapter expresses sincere sin-cere sympathy to his wife and family. |
