Shannon Fillmore of Bountiful won her second event with a one second w in over Taylor of Woods Cross with Godfrey of Bountiful third and Beecher from Woods Cross fourth. INTERMEDIATE Hurdles. Cari Chandler of Bountiful came on strong to hold off Larson of Viewmont View-mont for top honors with Tonge of the Cats third and LeFever of Bountiful fourth. 800 Meters. Elizabeth Taylor of Woods Cross easily won her specialty spe-cialty with a seven second w in over Riley of Bountiful. Mathews of Viewmont and Budge of the Braves. 200 METERS. The 100 meter finish fin-ish was reversed in this sprint with Denise Christensen of Viewmont edging Fillmore of Bountiful for first. Chandler of the Braves was third followed by Beecher of Woods Cross. 3200 Meters. Viewmont picked up another first place ribbon with Sky Mathews leading a one-two-three sweep for the Vikes. Mar-tineau Mar-tineau was second with Ward in third, Taylor of the Wildcats was fourth. HIGH JUMP. Lana Beecher of IT WAS UP AND OVER WITH SEEMINGLY little effort for the women in last week's city championship. Viewmont ep the go!d home by winning with 76 points, fotowed by Bountiful with 53 and Woods Cross with 35. Discus: Paula Osiek of Woods Cross threw the discus 102'3". She was the only competitor to go over 100 feet, to win this event over Titensor and Miller of Viewmont with Rothey of the Cats fourth. JAVELIN. Jenny Miller picked up her second first place ribbon with a throw of 1 14'7" with Wendy Warhurst of Woods Cross in second followed by Osiek of the Cats and Irvine of Viewmont. Relays: Viewmont proved to have the depth over their two rivals as the Vikes won all three relay events. |
