Show Dumping Sump Pumps Into Sewer Lines Is Causing Problems As if the rise of the Great Salt Lake and high water table are not causing enough problems, some South Davis County residents are illegally hooking their sump pumps to the sewage system. "THIS IS causing a dramatic increase in our average daily flow into the treatment plant, causing an additional burden to an already overloaded system," said Plant Superintendent Gary Hales. He urged residents not tQ hook pumps into the sewage line and to do everything possible to cut down the flow into the plant. "Use the same conservative measures now, with an abundance of water, that you would during a drought," he pleaded. |
