Show JSira.ve Talk: By JEANNINE BENNETT Our Santa-aid week was a success. We spent a whole week selling chocolate Santa Clauses. We started with a band on Monday with a super assembly and ended terrifically terrifical-ly on Friday with a stomp. THE STUDENTBODY really real-ly helped out by selling lots of Santa Clauses and helped us reach our goal. Now we will be able to help many families this Christmas. Thanks to our Senators and Senate President who were in charge of this week. Saturday our speech and debate de-bate department sent several people to two different meets. One was the Portia Douglas and the other the Alta Debate tournament. We did well at both. We took second place at Portia Douglas and received the most trophies at Alta. Congratulations Con-gratulations to all those who attended. They did great. THIS LAST Wednesday the Junior Miss Pageant was held at Woods Cross High School. Two senior girls from Bountiful Bounti-ful participated and did very well. Amy Bombard was first runner up and Kelly Child is the new Junior Miss. They both did super. Congratulations, Congratula-tions, we are proud of them. This Tuesday we are holding the UASC leadership conference. confer-ence. There will be many schools participating. About 250 people are expected. It should be a good day for all school leaders to learn new leadership skills. OUR HOCKEY team has two games this week. Monday at the Salt Palace against Granger Gran-ger at 8 and Wednesday at the Bountiful rink against Olympus Olym-pus at 10. Our J.V. team will play Saturday at the Hygeia against Highland at 7. Come support our teams. Our school play, "The Diary Di-ary of Anne Frank," is coming up the 20th, 22nd, and 24th. Mark your calendars, it is expected ex-pected to be great. |
