Show Woods Cross By SHIRLEY WRIGHT Lee Ann George has spent a week in Hawaii and had a glorious glo-rious time. Also from our area, two young gals have spent 11 days enjoying the Islands. They are Tonya Nelson, daughter of Kay and Coralee Nelson and Kelly Jarvis. Kay and Coralee Nelson and family enjoyed the deer hunt even if only son Tony was lucky enough to get a deer. Some of our neighbors have had a bad week though. Geoffrey Geof-frey and Karen Jensen had their home gone through and things taken. Also, Bill and Marilyn Ransom had a little excitement they do not want repeated. She was held at gunpoint gun-point while two men robbed her, then tied her up and left. We are glad that these two men have been taken into custody. Hope all goes well with you guys now and that things like this don't happen again. Dick and Donna Birdsall have a new baby boy who was blessed last Sunday. And good news for Rick and Susie Larn-shaw. Larn-shaw. They are going to soon receive a baby boy they have long waited for. Leaving our area soon are Dick and Kris Parkin. Lou and Herbert Womble spent a weekend in Elko, Nev. The Second Ward has a new Relief Society presidency. Those going out are Grace Memmett. president; Pat Niel-son, Niel-son, LaMae Twitchell and Cheryl Price. The new presidency pres-idency includes Edna Waterfall, Water-fall, president; Ruth Cleverly. Marlene Anderson with Edeen Peacock, secretary. Thurman and Virginia Moss had an exciting Sunday last week. They had a grandson and granddaughter blessed. Their sons, Tim and Steve are the fathers of these two kids. Blanche Moss and family had their family fireside last Sunday with about 40 in attendance at Ruth and Irv Cleverly's home. The girls of this family also held their monthly genealogy class last Monday evening. Also new parents in our area are Larry and Maryanne Brewer. They had ther baby blessed last week. David Sundstrom is anticipating anti-cipating a trip to Spain. He travels quite a bit for his company. com-pany. Get well wishes go to Yerna Harrison who is in St. Mark's Hospital and Renee Gunn who has just come home from the hospital. LeRoy Peck's parents will celebrate their 50th golden wedding anniversary this coming com-ing week. Also moving from our area are Dick and Debbie Brady. The Golds are in their home after spending some time remodeling re-modeling it. A bridal shower was given last Tuesday by Joie Ander-ton, Ander-ton, for Joan Wright w ho w ill be getting married Dec. 4. A fun evening was had by all w ho attended. |
