I've never been in better shape, and I'm 42." v y Sunny Griffin Each "Twice a Woman" show in the 13-week series, which offers fashion, beauty and fitness tips for women of all ages, was filmed in a different dif-ferent location across the country, featuring complete make-up and hairstyle makeovers make-overs utilizing the talents of local salons. "We want to show that you don't need to live in New York or Los Angeles to have a good hairdresser," says Miss Griffin. Grif-fin. During her long and successful suc-cessful modeling career, Miss Griffin was once the world's highest paid model. She has been featured on the covers of many magazines and has appeared in hundreds of television tele-vision commercials. However, she is quick to point out that having the great shape of a model doesn't necessarily nec-essarily mean you're in great shape. "I have God-given long legs." she admits, "But there was a time when I couldn't do one sit-up. Most everybody in my family is overweight and I never did anything physically fit until I was 25." Now. she says, she's usually a winner in the constant struggle to remain trim, thanks to a daily routine that includes 90 minutes of dancing danc-ing and a rigidly controlled diet. Her zest for fitness has influenced her husband, CBS News correspondent Richard Wagner, and their two daughters. daugh-ters. He runs 10 to 12 miles a day. "I grew up with the fear that you would be struck dead if you didn't clean your plate," she says. "America's health consciousness is so low, there must be some middle ground. It isn't capital punishment to give your kids a candy bar. but you should supply them with some nutritional background. back-ground. "Fitness is no longer just a craze." she says.
