Show Philip Grindstaff Dies At 58 Years :' Philip Lyman Grindstaff, age 58, died Nov. 11, 1982 at a local hospital. :':HEWAS born Oct. 21, 1924 at Jacksonville, Fla., son of Forrest Clifton and Edna Hill Grindstaff. : He married Vivian Hatch on March 12, 1947 in the Salt Cake LDS Temple. HE SERVED in three wards and was awarded the distinguished disting-uished Flying Cross for valor in th Air Force. He was retired USAF 1972. He was employed linlil the time of his death as a counselor in the Division of Corrections. i He was an active member of tfie LDS Church serving in miany and varied Church positions posi-tions throughout his life. He was a High Priest in the Bountiful Boun-tiful 4th Ward. ;HE IS survived by his wife of Bountiful, children, P. Joseph, Bountiful; Mrs. Steven (Barbara) (Bar-bara) Haws, Layman, Wyo.; David L. , Salt Lake City ; Alan L'.. Lehi; Clifton J., and Richard R., Bountiful; Mrs. Ronald (Nancy) Kunz, Taylorsville; John J., presently" present-ly" serving LDS mission in the Philippines; Peggy and Elizabeth, Eli-zabeth, both of Bountiful. l" '-' X" 1 vi PHILIP L. GRINDSTAFF Also surviving are his father, Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, brothers, Jul-lian Jul-lian L. Jacksonville, Fla.; F. Clifton, Burbank, Calif.; and Douglas H., Los Angeles, Calif. FUNERAL services were held Monday, Nov. 15 at noon in the Bountiful 4th Ward LDS Church. Interment was under the direction of Russon Brothers. |
