Show Realign Davis, No Simple Decision Davis stay in Region Four with three other Davis County schools and the two SI.C schools, Box Elder's principal Carroll C. Nichols, is very opposed to the Bets coming into Region One. HE WAS quoted last week as saying that he was very opposed to the new move which he felt would break up the traditional rivals the schools had built for many of its athletic competition com-petition years. Nichols staled, "We've got a nice little family fami-ly up here and we hate to break it up." Box Elder, if the move did take place, would break up their long-standing rivalry with Bear River, w hich most people in that area know is one of the longest and most intense prep rivalries in the state. to research how many times Davis has been shuffled from one region to another, we'd be right on top in the number of moves. "We've been in leagues as far north as North Cache and as far south as St. George. It's been horrendous moving back and forth. I personally personal-ly would like to see us stay where we are for a while because we once again started up some pretty good rivalries." said Stevenson. THE ONE good thing about Davis' moves from one corner of the state to the other, is that they 've demonstrated how well they start up a new rivalries. As Davis' assistant principal, Gerald Purdy put it. "We've demonstrated wherever we go that we can compete and adjust ad-just in any region we might get into." ALL THIS has come about with the fact that Sky View High, a long-standing member of Region One, will be reclassified into 3-A when many of the present enrollment of 1MX1 students stu-dents will find a new home at Mountain Crest High School in nearby Hyrum. W ith Sky View gone next season, either the Bees or the Darts w ill hav e to take their place to keep the league in a six-team format. Clear field. Layton. Bonneville.
