Show TV TATTLE Pink Panther party Julie Andrews and Robert Wagner join Bob Hope in a celebration of the 20th anniversary anni-versary of the Pink Panther films, "Bob Hope's Pink Panther Thanksgiving Gala." to air Sunday, Nov. 21 on NBC. Peter Sellers, who died last year at the age of 56, starred in five Pink Panther films as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau. Sellers will be seen in clips from the movies, as will Dyan Cannon. Claudia Cardinale, Lesley Ann Down, Harvey Korman. David Niven and Christopher Plummer. Even the Pink Panther himself will be seen in a special animated sequence. Big Bird's trip Another anniversary will he celebrated this week the beginning of the 14th season of "Sesame Street;" which returns to PBS stations sta-tions across the country beginning Monday, Nov. 22. (Local times may vary; check listings.) The new season begins with Big Bird, who has been with the show since it began in 1969, going off to summer camp. The production goes on-location to a camp near Bear Mountain, N.Y., as Big Bird gets some instruction in swimming. While Big Bird learns the skills of camp life, young viewers learn some lessons in separating from their family and friends a topic that's included to round out the season's goal of preparing young preschoolers pre-schoolers to make the transition tran-sition from home to school. Later in the season, famous guests will make appearances on the new season sea-son including Bette Davis and musician James Taylor. |
