Show Houghton Rites .,; "-Ml I , I "I J Virgil William Houghton, 71, died Nov. 13, 1982 at Bountiful. Boun-tiful. HE WAS born April 26, 1911 at Whitechurch, Missouri, the son of Curtis Lyle and Alma Gale Houghton. He married Mabel Riggs, June 14, 1936 in Kansas. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in 1981. HE HAD lived in Cromwell, Okla. ; Las Vegas, Nev.; Mon-ticello Mon-ticello and Moab. Member of Bountiful 17th Ward, and was a High Priest. He had served a stake mission and was branch president. Also filled a calling to work with the Ifldians in Las Vegas, Nev. HE WAS a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with the Army 7th Cavalry. He is survived by two sons, Phillip D. Houghton, Bountiful Bounti-ful and Robert W., Germany; six grandchildren. ALSO ONE brother and four sisters, Julius, Spokane, Wash. ; Miss Agnes Houghton, Stafford, Kansas; Miss Myrtle Houghton, Garden City, Kansas; Kan-sas; Mrs. Clarence (Blanche) Van Winkle, Windsor, Colo.; Mrs. Marion (Eunice) Conley, Cherryvale, Kansas. Funeral services are Wednesday, Nov. 17 at noon at Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary Mortu-ary Chapel. Friends may call VIRGIL W.HOUGHTON one hour prior to services at the Lindquist Mortuary. INTERMENT Bountiful Memorial Park under the direction of Lindquist Bountiful Bounti-ful Mortuary. |
