Show Education Week Displays At 5 Points Mall "A Strong Nation Needs Strong Schools" is being depicted de-picted in exhibits, displays and performing groups appearing appear-ing through Saturday at the Bountiful Five Points Mall. Dave King, noting, "American "Amer-ican Education Week gives us the opportunity to examine the strength that universal education has given to our nation." na-tion." Noting today's classrooms contain the future craftsmen, technicians and business and industry leaders, he went on, "Utah's schools are some of the most productive ones in the nation. Our schools are doing their part in preparing today's young people for tomorrow's challenging new world of opportunity." HE SAID Davis County teachers are "proud of their students' records of achievement" despite having to deal with the nation's largest class size, adding, "our students continue to lead out in their performance ratings." Noting "tomorrow can only be brighter" because education edu-cation is readily available to all, he asks readers to visit neighborhood schools whenever possible, volunteering and taking pride "in the good that you see our schools do" adding, "A strong nation needs strong schools." tb |
