Two Win In Elks Contest On Saturday. Feb. 19. the Utah Elks Association judged the most valuable student state contest at the Provo Elks Lodge. THE BOUNTIFUL Elks had two entries in this contest. Julianne Basinger. daughter of Donald and Jane Basinger of Bountiful; and K. Chad Bas-tian, Bas-tian, son of Larry and Dianne Bastian of Bountiful. . Julianne attends Woods Cross High School and Chad attends Bountiful High School. They were competing against entries from 16 other Elks lodges in the state of Utah. ', JULIANNE Basinger has won a $400 state scholarship in this contest and Chad was judged to be a national finalist. He will now compete for scholarships scho-larships ranging in value from $1 100 to $20,000,the minimum being $1100. Final judging will be conducted by the Elks National Na-tional Foundation and the results re-sults will be announced in early ear-ly May.
