Show Learning Disability Lab Begins March 9 FARMINGTON - The Davis School District's Parent Education Resource Center is offering a four session "Learning "Learn-ing Disability Lab for Parents." Pa-rents." The lab is being held to help parents meet the challenges chal-lenges of learning-disabled children. WORKSHOP topics are: 1. Does your child have a learning learn-ing disability and-or an attention atten-tion deficit? Are they the same? 2. Understanding and experiencing the world of the child with learning difficulties. 3. Discovering your feelings about the learning disabled child and how the learning disabled dis-abled child affects the family. 4. What a parent can do to make the learning disabled child's life easier. Behavior modification techniques and community resources. Judith Southworth, MEd in Educational psychology and in counseling and guidance will conduct the workshop sessions. ses-sions. She is currently an educational edu-cational diagnostician for the Diagnostic Center of the Davis School District and has taught at the unit for the behaviorally-handicapped behaviorally-handicapped in the district. She is the mother of six children. chil-dren. THE WORKSHOP will be held each Wednesday beginning begin-ning at 7 beginning March 9 and will continue through the month. The sessions will bs held at the Monte Vista Center, Cen-ter, 77 South 300 East, Farmington. Farm-ington. Cost for the series is $12 per couple or $8 per individual.
