Show ViMng Views By MARSHA CHRISTENSEN and CLAYTON GILLETT We at Viewmont just like most other schools, have spring fever. We're really looking forward to the upcoming upcom-ing VHS baseball season. Try-outs Try-outs finished for the team Tuesday and they will now prepare for their first game against Brighton Wednesday, March 9 at Viewmont. Good luck baseball players for the '83 season. WE WOULD also like to wish the best of luck to our swimmers who travel to region tomorrow. Our gymnasts will also be competing Thursday at Taylorsville. WE'RE ALSO anticipating Vibrant Viking Week. This week is sponsored by the PTSA and will begin Monday, March 7. There will be different diffe-rent activities throughout the week starting with Shelly Thomas Tho-mas speaking to our entire studentbody stu-dentbody on Career planning. Tuesday is physical day and there will be two different speakers and a demonstrtion of ancient forms of self defense by Ta Kwan Do Karate School. Wednesday will be awareness day with Jack Mig- nall Jr. speaking on drunk driving. NOEL Archibald will speak on developing a positive attitude atti-tude on Thursday. The word vibrant means vibrating, thrilling thrill-ing or throbbing, so we hope everyone has a truly exciting week. Friday, March 4 we will hold the usual "Battle of the Bands" and hope tht everyone will come and support their bands and rock groups. WE HAVE lots of exciting things planned for March and hope everyone looks forward to the last 60 days of school. |
