Show Help Baby See Things Even before six months of age, a baby is ready to see cloth or plastic picture books, not just your brightly colored, soiled apron. When a baby beings to observe his world, fresh and untouched, teach him not only to see things of beauty but also to be curious about everything within his sight. SHOW YOUR child the things we all take for granted such as a grain of sand, the bark of a tree, or the vein of a leaf. If he starts noticing these inconspicuous things now, he will notice thm until the end of his days. Show him your smile. He is never too little to see and sense your approval and love. After a few months, he will begin to differentiate between colors, sizes, and shapes. His own body will occupy much of his attention, and with help from his parents, learning about ab-out himself will be a stimulus to learning about others. Let him see Baby in the minor. This will help him distinguish between himself and his surroundings. |
