Show Attempted Abduction BOUNTIFUL -- Police Chief Larry Higgins announced today an increase in attempted abductions in the city and urged students walking walk-ing home from school to walk in a group and never accept a ride with a stranger. ONE VIEWMONT High student was approached and then threatened by a young man after she refused a ride near 1000 North Main. The suspect was described as being 28 to 30 years of age, male Caucasian with brown hair and driving a maroon Cutlass Old-smobile Old-smobile with unknown license. Police reported the suspect asked the girl for a ride and when she refused he got out of the car and ordered her to get into the vehicle. Earlier, two elementary students were followed fol-lowed home by a suspicious motorist. |
