Show Lack LDS Books Our family moved here two years ago from Erie, Pennsylvania, Pennsyl-vania, which puts me in a unique uni-que position to compare libraries. lib-raries. I EXPECTED to find expanded ex-panded arts, crafts, sewing, cooking and cultural choices and certainly wasn't disappointed. dis-appointed. But I also expected to find shelves of LDS books. What a surprise. There are actually fewer LDS books on the shelves here than in Erie w ith its ratio of one Mormon to each 1,000 non-Mormons. One way to build up the type of selection you would like in a library is to donate books in memory of a loved one. All that is needed is to call the library lib-rary and request a list of books on the subject you wish, and make a donation. A NAME plate is put into the book and the library will even send a card to the family for you if you so request. Books would do so much more good than fast-fading flowers. Peggy Emery Centerville |
