Show Baseball: Some Surprises By PETE FRITCHIE It's too early to forecast Major League results for 1975. But a few surprise are in evidence. IN THE National League, San Diego isn't the western division patsy of recent years. In the American League, Detroit hasn't been as weak as predicted. The Tigers have had good pitching. KANSAS CITY in the western west-ern division began with spirit and winning ways, and might challenge Oakland and Texas all the way. Frank Robinson's Cleveland began slowly, as did the Yankees, but it's too early to know if their starts mean anything. Pittsburgh --last --last year-proved that. |
