Show Woods Cross Camp Eutaw, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, held their final meeting of the year on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Lil Salter. The meeting was conducted by Captain Marjory Mar-jory Winegar. Elections for the coming season were held, with Berta Taylor chosen to represent the camp as captain. She will choose assisting officers who will be installed at the first meeting in September. The lesson for the day was given by Louise Hogan, and the history given by Berta Taylor. Assisting hostesses were Florence Francic, Louise Hogan and Lil Salter. Guy Memmott was featured vocalist at the University of Utah Mothers Club on Wednesday Wed-nesday of the past week. Guy is the vocal student of Loris Hand, and presented the entire en-tire program for the Mothers at the Union Building. He is the son of Larry and Grace Memmott. He is a recent graduate of the University of. Utah and presently is employed in the Claims Department for Wycoff Co. in Salt Lake City. Sorry to have the Glen Hansen Han-sen family leave the area. They will reside in Bountiful near Mueller Park, after Friday, their moving date. They have been residing on 1100 S. and will certainly be missed by their friends and neighbors in that area. Mrs. Millie Cahoon, accompanied accom-panied by her daughter Becky, traveled to Orangeville on Thursday to attend the graduation of her grandson, Ronnie Mower from Emery High School. They will be visiting with Alan and Marilyn Cahoon Mower during their visit. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Nelson and two children, returned home recently after enjoying a two week vacation. They toured Disneyland, the Lion Safari, and Sea World, in addition ad-dition to visiting relatives in the San Diego area. They also visited with college friends as they made their way up the coast to Fresno, then toured the Hearst Castle before returning return-ing home on the old 49'ers highway through Nevada. Woods Cross Stake Youth Conference is scheduled for June 6,7, and 8, at Weber State College. Mia Maids, Laurels, Venturers and Explorers will be participating in workshops, attending special seminars, enjoying speakers, and staying stay-ing at the dorms on campus during the three day event. In charge and attending with the young people are Blanche Nelson, Sally Shields, Kay Smith, Kathy Barlow, Delores Haacke, Norma Noble, No-ble, Cal Gibb, Sherm Moss, lrv Cleverly, Noel Williams and Ron Garner, officers and advisors. Miss Geri Ballard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ballard, and member of the Weber State Singers, participated par-ticipated in the 14th annual concert of the group, then entertained en-tertained members and partners at the Ballard home, following the concert, for a midnight supper. This is their final event of the season, held Saturday evening at the college Little Theatre. |
