Show Five Tatie Part In Pentathelon Sivimminn Tleet Five swimmers from the Bountiful Sharks Speed Swim Team, participated in the In-termountain In-termountain AAU Pentathelon Pen-tathelon Swim Meet, held at the Murray City Swim Pool this past Saturday. DALE ANN Fisher, Jon Lee, Evan Charles and Mike Fisher, were all participants in this unusual event. Dale Ann competed in the girls division, participating in the 50 yard freestyle, 50 backstroke, back-stroke, 50 breastroke, 50 yard butterfly and the 200 yard freestyle. POINTS WERE given for each event, plus an additional 1000 points if a previous '74 meet record was broken. Dale Ann earned 4,829 overall points. She was outdistanced for the high point trophy which was awarded to Paula Swim of Kearns, a 17 year old swimmer who tallied 4,859. In the boys events, longer distances were required. A 50 yard freestyle, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly and a 500 yard freestyle was necessary for each age group. EVAN FISHER, 12 year old son of Carl and Irmagard, placed 5th in the over all point tally. Jon Lee was 8th. The Pentathelon is one of the most difficult meets of the year, requiring each swimmer to compete in each event. The Bountiful team was back from spring lay off, just two weeks prior to this meet, and placed very well in over all point gain, rsp |
