Frank Duncan, city employee, and his staff of Dennis Stanton, Dave Clayton, Mike Day, and Chuck Swanson, together with the police, were commended for the work they have been doing both day and night. They have been tireless in their efforts to protect property in the city. COUNCILMAN Bob Ar-buckle Ar-buckle commented on the possibilities of securing additional addi-tional acre feet of water to accommodate future growth in the city. At present, Centerville Cen-terville has ample water available for culinary and other usage, whereas some of the smaller communities in the state are experiencing difficulty getting enough water for drinking and for fire protection. Councilman Tom Williams asked about the possibilities of participating in a cat and dog rabies clinic. All of the skunks in the area have been found to be infected with rabies. Councilman Arbuckle reported the fact that the Sertoma Club sponsors such clinics. The council decided to investigate this possibility and to also investigate the possibilities of participating in a clinic on a county basis. OUNCE AGAIN the fact was reiterated that there is a city ordinance against letting dogs run loose in the community. com-munity. The ordinance will be enforced. Don Milligan and Hal Harrison, together with Steve Carroll, approached the council with regards to signing sign-ing the linens for Pit F of Casa Loma Subdivision, and to discuss drainage in other parts of the development. Mr. Milligan and Mr. Harrison were told that they must secure the signatures of the Planning and Zoning Committee Com-mittee and the City Engineer, prior to the securing of the signature of the mayor. The fact was brought out that there will be better drainage after the development is completed, when lawns are planted, etc. The developers promised to do their best to make the drainage suitable. CITIZENS from the west side of Main Street (N. of Parrish Lane, approximately 500 N. Main), including Gibb Parrish, Dave Parrish and wife, Val Roberts, and Ron Kremer, attended the meeting meet-ing to ask for permission to install curb and gutter in front of their property. They were informed that it would be better if curb, gutter, and sidewalk could be installed at the same time. After the citizens raised the question as to whether there is sufficient space on the city property for sidewalk after the curb and gutter has been established, it was decided to contact the State Highway Department as to the definite width of the highway. The citizens ci-tizens were commended for their interest in beautifying the community.
