Show Golden Years Thanks and congratulations are due the Golden Years Symphonic Orchestra for the beautiful music they create and for their generosity and dedication with their time and talent in performing for so many groups of people. THEY WILL have given 24 performances by June 16, after they have given four more concerts which are still on their calendar. They will play at the Holladay Library on May 23 and at the Friendly Neighborhood Center in Salt Lake City for a Regional Open House on May 30. There will be a program at the Golden Years Center for a Father's Day program in Bountiful on June 16 at 3:30 p.m. and for the Magna Senior Citizens in late June. THERE ARE twenty active members of the orchestra and they practice every Monday at the center from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. They have developed a sound that is really pleasing. If anyone has an instrument and would like to join this talented and dedicated group, they will be more than happy to add you to the orchestra. REMEMBER the Lagoon Opera House is giving a reduction to the Senior Citizens Ci-tizens for the summer shows, $7.00 season tickets for $5.00. The first performance is Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. A dinner party has been arranged at the Oakridge Country Club for dinner at 5 p.m. Call the center immediately if you do not have your tickets and reservations, reser-vations, 295-3479. MAKE reservations now for the bus trip to Cedar City for the Shakespearean Festival, July 16-20. Food, bus, lodging and show tickets with a side trip to Cedar Breaks and St. George has been arranged for $57. kj |
