At this as-i-: Jt athletes received 'lEHi's soccer team teX'S state game 2-1, item iiitt in - Wte.w baseball !! 'atin'tilatasteof ; 'Si v. a through in football. We were tied for region second, arid so had to play off to see who went to state. Viewmont came up on top with a score of 7-6. Gary Brockbank Jr. did a great job of pitching. Both Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day state games were called because of weather. But Thursday we met the city champions, Cottonwood High. SATURDAY our track team went to state. Jeff Mitchell brought home a first place in the 880. Brad Aylor brought home a third in the broad jump. Along with the end of school comes graduation. Viewmont is very proud of its 12 students graduating with a straight 4 point grade average. Approximately 700 students will graduate tonight. - - BACCALAURETTE services ser-vices were Sunday afternoon. Curtis Vanalsin, the Dean of Education at BYU was the speaker. The Madrigals sang and an orchestra group performed. per-formed. The seniors enjoyed a fun banquet at Coys Restaurant Wednesday night. Both food and speakers were good. THE FINAL stomp of the year (graduation stomp) was held last night and the looking back assembly was today. Everyone enjoyed looking back and remembering. Commencement services for the class of 1975 will be held tonight at 8 p.m. at the Valley Music Hall. No tickets will be required after 7:50. SENIORS will receive their yearbooks at graduation and Tuesday the 27th will be senior sluff. Juniors and sophomores will receive their yearbooks Tuesday morning. Wednesday then, will be the end of the year of the Viking. |
