Show YOUNG COUPLE GOING TO COAST Mr. and Mrs. Jay Beck plan to leave American Fork the 25th of this month for Berkeley, California, where Mr. Beck will enroll at the University of California on a fellowship fel-lowship won through his work at the Brigham Young University. Mr. Beck is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beck "of this city and received his start in Chemistry in the local high school under Mr. Giddings. He later graduated from the B. Y. U. and last summer earned earn-ed his Masters degree which will be awarded at the graduation exercises June 10th. The past winter Mr. Beck has been a member of the faculty fac-ulty at the Dixie Junior College at t Opnre-e. Utah. While at St. George, Mr. Beck has done some extensive research on Dixie Molasses. He read his paper on this research work at a meeting held in the Science building at the University of Utah last weeic. nc is now taking' a special three-weeks course under Dr. Martin at the B. Y. j U. prior to leaving for the coast. |
