Show Cavemen Meet Heber Today Team Standings Won Lost Pet. Heber City 1 0 1.000 Lehi 1 0 1000 American Fork 1 t -500 Pleasant Grove 0 2 .500 Traveling Friday (today) to meet the Heber City baseball team on the northern city's diamond, the Cavemen Cave-men ball players will commence a series of three out-of-town games. These scraps will be fought out before be-fore the next home game, on June 17, when the Cavemen will entertain Heber City, on the local diamond. The other out-of-town games include in-clude a revenge battle with Lehi, on June 10, and an invasion on Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove on June 13. The Forkers will be out after Lehi scalps at the Lehi game, m revenge for the 5-4 defeat at Lehi on Memorial Mem-orial day. Tied at 3-3 in the sixth, the two teams fought a thrilling game to tie again 4-4 in the ninth. Lehi gained the one -run edge in the extra inning. Pleasant Grove is expected to be an easy mark, but a harder contest is looked for in the game with Heber City today. Pleasant Grove forfeited last Wednesday's Wed-nesday's game to American Fork, and the Lehi-Heber City game at Lehi was called in the second round on account of rain. The American Fork Lions Club will furnish transportation to Heber City for the boys. New" baseball suits, their purchase made possible by generous contributions of local merchants, are expected to arrive in the near future, and will be worn by the team in the game with Heber City here on June 17. Season tickets for the home games are now on sale, for $1.50. Ticket prices have been 'set at 10 and 15 cents. All games, unless otherwise specially scheduled, will begin at 2:30 p. m. |
