Show CliibRfews League of Women Voters The Park City Family Counseling Institute will hold its third annual fund raiser, Harvest Hoedown, on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Snow Park Lodge in Deer Valley. The event will include a buffet dinner, entertainment, dancing and a silent auction. Ticket price is $20 a person, per-son, $35 for two people. For more information, call 649-2426. Elks The Park City Chapter of Elks meets on the second and fourth Tuesday Tues-day of each month at the Elks Building on Main Street. For more information, infor-mation, call 485-8596. Cub Scouts The Park City Rotary Club is sponsoring a Cub Scout troop for any boy 8 years old or in third grade. Leaders also are needed. Any boy wishing to join can call Bruce or Barbara Myers at 649-7587. The first meeting is scheduled for Sept. 30. Tennis league Players are invited to join the tennis league at Park Meadows Racquet Rac-quet Club for weekly workouts and league play with clubs from Salt Lake. Women's Information Network The Park City Chapter of WIN will meet Oct. 3 at the Columbine restaurant. The guest speaker will be Dorothy Solomon, author of In My Fathers House, a story about being the 28th child in a family of 48 children. Library book discussion The Park City Library will host a discussion of the book The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. The work is a dramatization of Thoreau's refusal to pay taxes and the justification of his values.
