IT SHALL BE lawful to ; hunt or discharge a firearm within 500 feet of any subdivision or summer ' home area in Summit County. SECTION II. IT SHALL BE unlawful to discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. SECTION III. IT SHALL BE unlawful to discharge a firearm from, across, or within 200 feet of a county road or public roadway. SECTION IV. IT SHALL BE unlawful to pursue any animal through or within a sub-division for the purpose ; of shooting such animal. SECTION V. Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance is , guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof may be fined not more than $299.00, or by imprisonment in the county jail not to . exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. (a) This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days from the date of its first publication. ' (b) This ordinance shall not be construed to prohibit any' peace officer or animal control officer from discharging a firearm or pursuing an animal in the performance of duty or ' to prohibit any citizen from discharging a .firearm in lawful defense of self or another.
