Show Equestrian center OKd for Old Ranch Rd. The Ranch Creek development proposed for Old Ranch Road received a go-ahead from the Summit Sum-mit County Commission when the board, in a 2-1 vote, approved a temporary tem-porary septic system for the development. The dissenting vote was cast by commissioner Cliff Blonquist at the commission's Sept. 18 meeting. The developer of six residences and a private equestrian center at the eastern end of Old Ranch Road will be required to hook into the Snyderville Basin Sewer Improvement Improve-ment District when the district carries car-ries out a planned extension of its trunk line past the project. In the meantime, it can use a septic sep-tic tank system, which must be approved ap-proved by the County Health Board. Richard Dudley, developer of Ranch Creek, said he also is required to install in-stall the sewer-line system within his project. He also was required to post a letter of credit to pay for hookups to the sewer district. The project previously was approved ap-proved by the county planning commission com-mission Aug. 27, subject to the county coun-ty commission deciding on a sewage plan for Ranch Creek. The new development code for the Snyderville Basin, passed early this year, says connection to the sewer district lines is required "except in cases where unplatted individual lots are beyond 300 feet of existing connection facilities, on-site systems may be used." Dudley said the first house in the project may be built this fall or next spring. |
