Show Kids thank librarian This week the Friends of the Library, a volunteer support group for the Park City Library, presented librarian Pat Montgomery with a check and a rather original thank-you thank-you note. The note came in the form of original artwork from Parley's Park Elementary School students, expressing ex-pressing their appreciation of the library. "We wanted to show Pat and her staff that we really appreciate them and all the work they do," said Jane Harrington, president of Friends. Montgomery works overtime to balance the library's budget to make sure it is functioning smoothly, order new books and make the library's needs known to the city, Harrington said. "I'm especially impressed with the time she has spent writing grants to bring special programs to the library," she added. Harrington also said the Friends of the Library wanted to commend Derma Wright for the excellent job she had done expanding the children's section of the library. |
