Show S.L. Art Center is having an affair of the hart On Saturday, Feb. 11, the Salt Lake Art Center will provide an afternoon of activities celebrating the art of love. Lallapalooza (the Children's Child-ren's Art Project) will coordinate coordi-nate the festivities with assistance from members of the Art Center Alliance. An exhibit of art and valentines will set the mood for a workshop for children, adults, and everyone in-between. This exhibit in the Alliance Gallery at the Art Center highlights the work of Lallapalooza Lalla-palooza artists as well as that of children who have participated partici-pated in past Lallapalooza events. Also on display will be handmade valentines from many Utah artists, Lallapalooza "heart" shirts, and other art with hearts. Everything displayed, except the Children's Exhibit, will be available for purchase. A reception will open the exhibit with "hearty" refreshments. re-freshments. Coinciding with the opening open-ing reception, the valentine workshop will encourage all participants to create their own work of love. A $2 materials fee will admit anyone wanting to draw, stamp, glue, weave, or stuff a heart. Artists directing the projects are Susan Beck, Jean Gumpper, Erica Wangsgard, Meredith Moench, and Connie Erickson. Lallapalooza, the Art Center Cen-ter Alliance and the Salt Lake Art Center invite you to share this event on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple. Following the valentine celebration, the Lallapalooza exhibit may be seen through March 2.
