Show Park City man arrested for cocaine possession Park City Police in conjunction con-junction with the Salt Lake Metropolitan Narcotics Strike Force arrested Brandon Bert-agnole, Bert-agnole, 23, of Park City and Robert L Shelton, 19, of 3287 Kenton Drive, Salt Lake City Feb. 1 at 11:30 p.m. for possession and the attempted attempt-ed distribution of one quarter pound of cocaine. According to Detective Russ Adair of the Metro Strike Force, an undercover agent had previously purchased pur-chased cocaine from Shelton in Salt Lake City. Adair said that Shelton led the agent, who he still did not know to be part of the Strike Force, to Park City for the Wednesday night buy, which took place in the Main Street parking lot across from the Treasure Mountain Inn. Eight agents operating out of the Metro Strike Force and four Park City police officers were at the scene to arrest Bertagnole and Shelton, who were booked into the Summit County Jail on $10,000 bond each. Bertagnole was charged with felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful distribution for value of a controlled substance. He was later released on bail. Shelton was booked on the felony charge of conspiring to distribute a controlled substance subs-tance and released on property pro-perty bond. Following the bust on Main Street, Park City Police and Metro agents obtained a search warrant and entered Bertagnole's apartment in the Iron Horse Condominiums, Condo-miniums, according to Adair. There police found Bertagnole's Bertag-nole's brother, Ryan Bertagnole, Bertag-nole, 20, also of Park City, He was charged with misdemeanor misde-meanor counts of possession of controlled substances: cocaine, marijuana and PCP, Adair said. Brandon Bertagnole and Shelton were arraigned Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Feb. 8 and bound over for trial in Fifth Circuit Court on March 16. |
