Show Valley Hi, Jeremy Ranch protect perfect records by Randy Hanskat With the league basketball season nearly half complete, only two teams have beaten the opposition into submission submis-sion week after week Valley Hi Realty and Jeremy Ranch. The Valley Guys had a tough match with the Park City Recreators, but upped their record to 4-0, while the Ranchers reached 4-0 by mashing the Alpine Prospectors. Prospec-tors. Meanwhile, last week's third unbeaten team, the Irish Camel, took its humps at the hands of the Recreators Recrea-tors Wednesday, Feb. 1. The Camels, 2-0 going into the game, came out blemished, blem-ished, as the Recreators handed them to a 55-49 stuffing. stuf-fing. The win pushed the Recreators to 3-1, while the Camels dropped to 2-1. In the second game Feb. 1 the Engineers from J.J. Johnson found the path to glory and won their first game of the season, bouncing bounc-ing the Jupiter Property Management squad 46-40. The Jupiters had been looking good, but the loss dropped their record to an even 2-2, while the Engineers Engi-neers rose to the lofty record of 1-3. The Ranchers of Jeremy continued their usual swashbuckling swash-buckling ways in Wednesday's Wednes-day's final contest, branding the Alpine Prospectors with a 59-40 loss. Kelly Mutcher was the top ranchhand with 20 points. Monday was a test for Valley Hi Realty. The Realtors Real-tors faced off against the Recreators in a tough battle, with the score constantly seesawing. At one point the Recreators led by eight points. But the Valley Guys came back and sank the winning basket with 10 seconds left for the 44-42 triumph, a hitter defeat for the Recreators. The Refrigerators of SW Refrigeration walked on the spines of the Cofer Chiropractic Chiro-practic team in Monday's second game 66-47. It was the first taste of victory for the Refrigerators and pushed their record to 1-3. Meanwhile, Mean-while, the Back Doctors fell to 1-4. Alan Vernon of the Refrigerators dumped in 22 points to become the high scorer of the game. In Monday's final extravaganza, extrava-ganza, it was the Trunks of the Kamas Forest Products team stopping up the Septic Tank Rentals by the score of 63-41.
