Show Jeremy Ranch female employee hammers home her point Two men got more than they bargained lor when they attempted to attack a female Jeremy Ranch employee. In the June 4 incident, the woman, Carol Hicks, used a claw hammer to fend off her assailants. According to the county police report, Hicks was repairing fence near the riding stable at Jeremy at about 5:30 p.m. Two men appeared, made lewd re marks to her, and grabbed her. Hicks reached for a claw hammer in her boot and beat them off. One man, who sustained a knee injury, was described as six-foot, two or three inches tall, dark-haired with a mustache, and heavily built. The second, who was hit in the groin, was described as tall and blond and about six-feet tall. The two men crawled back to their vehicle, a Ford Bronco II, and departed. But before they did, Hicks reportedly went after their truck with the hammer, smashing their headlights, grill, front window, hood and roof. County police have been contacting hospitals and clinics, clin-ics, asking them to look for anyone reporting a knee injury. The incident was reported on June 8, and written up by Officer Gary Vetterli. In other action on the county police beat: A show was reported at a Red Pine condominium, near ParkWest, occupied by Michael Mic-hael Cucchiarra. Officer Joe Offre, reported that on June 4, a shot fired at 10:15 p.m. went through Cucchiarra' s sliding-glass window and into his closet. Police determined deter-mined the bullet was either a .38 or .357 caliber. |
