Show WHITE AMBULANCES IN ARMY SERVICE 1 mtttmiiiifiuiMi , i , i i i i i t I Forty-eight ambulances like the one shown above have been built by the White Company and are now f t in service on the Mexican border. These machines have been organized into four companies, each composed X I of twelve motor ambulances and one three-fourths ton repair truck. t The new design ambulance has a capacity for eight patients seated inside and an orderly riding on I I front with the driver. Four patients can be carried on stretchers or litters. The two litters composing T T the upper tier are suspended by iron hooks with spiral spring attachments. The scats are leafed and hinged in such a manner that when they are not occupied by sitting pa- f Stients the upholstered side is turned down, forming a floor on which standard United States army litters may be carried- Under these deck seats are compartment for ten one gallon tins of reserve gasolene and 1 other supplies. |
