Show FACES ( PROBABLE CHARGE OF FORGERY Weston Prescott was ordered this morning by Municipal Judge G. S. j Barker to serve the remaining 2Z days I of a 60-day suspended sentence imposed im-posed upon him last week, following I his conviction on a charge of vag-j vag-j rancy. He was returned to the city j jail, Thursday, from Salt Lake City, where he lg said to have confessed to 1 forging the name of H L. Herringlon to a check for $8 75. He still faces a probable charge of forgery. Benny Doe, well known to the police po-lice as a light-fingered crook, was found guilty of petit larceny and sentenced sen-tenced to serve 90 days In jail. He stole a couple of raincoats from ihe W. H. Wright & Sons' store at Christmas Christ-mas time. For begging and attempting to bell a "phony" diamond on the streets of Ogden, Charles Sage was sentenced to serve thirty days at hard labor. The judge tried hard to give this de I fendant a chance to get out and -Jo some real labor for living, but to his I question, "Will you leave town if I let you go:"' Sage replied, "not in this weather." George Fisher was found guilty of 1 disturbing the peace and sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. oo |
