Show UU WALKING ARSENALS ARE UNDER ARREST Salt Lake, June 16. Three revolvers, revol-vers, two masks, a slingshot and enough paraphernalia to fill a. cart wore taken lroni tho persons of two suspicious characters, who were arrested ar-rested b' Patrolman- E. V. Johnson .at about 10:30 o'clock last night at tho Oregon Short Line depot. The men had come in from the north and were pointed out by the conductor of tho train as looking suspicious to him although thoy had tickets The mon were taken to the police station where they were searched and locked up. At tho police station the men gave the names of J. L. Keller and Jack Clarke. Kellor said that ho was 40 year old and a railroad conductor and Clarko gave his occupation as a structural iron worker and said that he was 27 years old. When questioned by Captain of Detectives Beckstead and Detectives Cleveland and Ripley tho men told conflicting stories. Clarke said that he had been on a two weeks' drunk and that ho and Keller had been together for about four weeks. He bnid that he camo here from Seattle: that he camo here from Ogdon last night, and that ho paid for the tickets for both of tho men. He protended to "mj sick from a long sprco and that ho was hard of hearing. Ho said that ho had been carrying tho gun which -was found on him for some time. Ho was a llttlo nervous when being questioned. Ho had never seen him drunk or under the Influence of liquor.
