OCR Text	Show SKIPPED OUT All Trains Were Sidetracked Side-tracked to Avoid Runaway Run-away Locomotive Battle Creek, Mich., June 16. Great excitement was spread along the line of tho Grand Trunk when tho news flashed over the wires that an engine "had "skipped out" and was running eastward at full speed. "A Torclgrier, taking the engine in charge as a hostlor, pulled the throttle wide- open,- It Is claimed, and then Jumped, not knowing what else to do. Yard employes who tried to step aboard wore unsuccessful, and the en-.glnp en-.glnp was soon out of sight on tho main line. Engineer James Condon jumped Into another locomotive and 'gave chdso,' while the operators along the lino caused all trains to turn Into the nearest side tracks. Near Belle-vue, Belle-vue, fourteen miles from Battle Creek, tho runaway exhausted Its steam and was easily "captured'' by Condon.
