"Mrs. E H Har riman and party ' was the only mark, on the register of the Hotel Utah yesterday yes-terday to indicate the presence in the city of ten persons representing' as much wealth as might readily belong to a hundred times that many Mrs. Mary E. Harrimnn, widow of the late E H Harrlman, is said to bo the wealthiest woman In the world today The party comprised, besides .Mrs Harrlman, her daugh'ter Carolyn, her son Edward, a college boy about 19; her younger son Henry, about 11 years of age. and two of their college and high school chums, besides tho mnlds, numbering four, to care for JLhc comfort of the party The party came in a special train at 1 o'clock and was met at the station sta-tion bj W. H.7Bancroft and D. E. Burley, who took them in automobiles to the Hotel Utah, where the ladies spent tho afternoon. The four boys went out in a diligent search for fish-lng fish-lng tackle and the entire afternoon was spent in securing equipment, for u lwo weens UBiting trip on mo Snake river. A special organ recital had been arranged ar-ranged for at 5:30 o'clock, and this the party attended, returning to the hotel for dinner and leaving at 9 ('clock, two hours after the regular train for Yellowstone, which is tho usual mode of trayel to Island Park. Although no statement was allowed out as to whom the party was to visit, it is understood that the visitors will be guests of Mr and Mrs. S. W. Ec-cles, Ec-cles, who went up, from hero a few weeks ago to occupy their summor home at Island Park'. No one of the much talked of altruistic al-truistic enterpriser's to receive tho attention of Mrs.' Harrlman at this time, according to her daughter, who replied very decidedly to all ques tions "Mrs Haxrlman has no deBlre to express herself and Is on this trip solely for pleasure and for rest." Mrs and Miss Harrlman were both dressed In simple black, although not severe enough to give the Idea 'of mourning. Miss Carolyn is tho third daughter of the family, the others having been married some time ago. Mrs Harrlman Is a much younger woman than her ' pictures would Indicate, In-dicate, and Miss Harrlman Is a beautiful beau-tiful young girl. ' on |
