Show STOCKHOLDERS LOST FORTUNE BY FRAUD PITTSBURG, Pa., Aug 7 That the stockholders of the Imperial Window Glass company, which was haled into tho United States courts last October for violation of the Sherman act, have been defrauded of a quurtor of a million mil-lion dollars Is the allegation made In nn equity suit filed in the common pleas court here today by Monroe Lemon, a stockholder and former employe. em-ploye. In an effort to throw the company Into the hands of a receiver, Lemon recites many charges of Irregularity against Secretary J B. G Sayre Lemon asks an injunction restraining re-straining the further disbursement i:f mdneys and prays that a receiver be appointed to wind up the affairs of the corporation. It is alleged In the papers filed that the corporation was defrauded of $250,000, which the petitioner declaros Johnson and others conspired to divide di-vide among themselves, under tho pretext of paying to outside parties for pretended services to the company com-pany It is further declared that the corporation during the year 1910, borrowed bor-rowed $600,000. on which It was forced to pny 5210,000 Interest, and that an illegal conspiracy was arranged ar-ranged between the officers and others in underwriting contracts and special rebates which aggregated almost al-most a quarter of a million dollars The officers of the Imperial company com-pany are charged with paving Jar2f sums of monov to the Pittsburg Plate Glass company under the pretense of paying for worthless advertising in a monthly paper distributed free by the Pittsburg onmpany. It Is charged thut this advertising was a method or covering dishonest rebating. In one vcar $120,000 was so paid to the Pittsburg Pitts-burg company, it is alleged. |
