Show SESSION Of THE GITYJOOICIL At the regular session of 'the city council last evening the communication communica-tion of Mayor Giasmann regarding the complaint of Charles Stevens that the Bamberger railway company is filling fill-ing a ditch that causes the water to run into his cellar, was referred to the railroad committee. The ieccmmendatiun of the major that the action of President Angus T. Wright and himself in turning a certain quantity ot water down the Ogden river lrom the Bench canal, piovided that the city's assessment on the water amounting to $555 bo paid immediately, bo approved, was adopted by a unanimous vote. The j major lccommeuded that a warrant be diawn foi the amount of the tax as soon as city taxes are received. Another communication from the mayor was to the eflect that tho lease of ihe Ogden hospital, held by tho Ogden General Hospital company, has expired. The communication requested re-quested that tho city recorder be authorized to make a demand for tho return of the hospital to the city, together with all the paraphernalia parapher-nalia that was turned over to the company and which they agreed ' to return in good shape. It was also recommended that an inspection be made as to whether the company has made $1000 improvements as agreed tu originally, and, also, that the hospital hos-pital be turned over to the health department for its uso as a detention hospital for contagious and infectious diseases when the regular pesthouse Is not available, and that the sanitary i Inspector be permitted to take some of the iron cots and blankets to the pesthouse and ajso that the police department be permitted to use home of the things at the police station.
