u Ten cars of California tourists going east came in from Ely, Nevada, Sunday by the way of Milford, They stated that the Wendover route to Salt Lake was impassable on account of deep snow and mud. This branch of the P. P. and O. O. highway, with the exception of a few stretches, is the shortest and best route to San Francisco from the east, but owing to the lack of advertising and the activities of the Salt Lakers in routing tourists over the Wendover highway, it is little known to tourists. However, each year bring an increase of traffic over the Beaver to Ely road and we believe it is destined to become a much traveled route in the next few years. A. C. Sanders in the Beaver Press. o
