Show TOWN CLEAN-UP IS PLANNED BUT DATE IS NOT DEFINITE WANT TO MAKE IT AN ALL-COMMUNITY PERIOD OF ACTION It is intended by the Milford Lions club to invite a representative of every organization in Milford to have lunch with the club in the near future, and together, to work out plans for a town clean-up. Dr. Parrish is at the head of a committee to devise some plans for action. The oncoming Forty-Niners' hall is taking all of his attention, so be said nothing would be done in furthering fur-thering plans for a town clean-up until late in April. The original suggestion is to assign an area of the town to each organization organi-zation and make the clean-up in that manner. Dr. Parrish said that he had talked with church heads and with the town board about the matter; mat-ter; Hugh Chanslor said the fire department de-partment would be glad to work in any way needed. The subject was gone over to some extent at the weekly luncheon of the Lions, held Wednesday at the Union Pacific. Among other things, the proposed trip to the Horn Silver mine was mentioned but it was the opinion opin-ion that there was too much busy activity at the mine just now to allow al-low a party of visitors to go down the shafts. |
