Show PKOSLTUTED FOR RUNNING CAFE AFTER MIDNIGHT A. M. Peterson, proprietor of the Wlstarlu cufe, at Gunnison, vrae found "not guilty" of violating the city ordinance when his c.v was tried before a jury in Justice of the Peace Reuben Christensen's court Monday afternoon. The jury deliberated delib-erated ordy a few minutes and returned re-turned the verdict as noted. A specific spec-ific charge of violating Sec. 202 of the revised ordinances of Gunnison City, which decrees that it shall be a misdemeanor for a keeper of any restaurant, res-taurant, ice cream parlor, etc., to keep open for business between the hours of 12 o'clock midnight and five o'clock a. m. of the succeeding day. The case wherein Peterson was charged charg-ed with violation of the ordinance, was on the night of November 2, and following a dancing party at the high school. County Attorney C. M. Edwards Ed-wards represented Mr. Peterson while A. E. Park acted as prosecutor for the city. News, Gunnison. 0 |
