Show PERSONAL FRIENDS ON TRAIN NO. 25 'About fifteen persons re- ceived on April 1, what look- prl to be teleeraDh messages. Each message stated, "Am ar- riving on Number 25. Be sure to meet me at station. Per- sonal friend." At the station, Dr. C. R. Parrish was right on hand to receive his friend. Upon not seeing anybody that he knew alight from the train, he insti- tuted a detailed search through each coach of the train. The Jos. R. Murdock family responded to the "telegram" and came to the station to re- ceive friends. Sam Cline was well on his way, but something looked wrong about the mes- sage, so he slowly and thought- fully retraced his steps. George Jefferson, M. P. Lew- is and Les Clay were also sup- .posed to be there to greet per- sonal friends, but the hoax did not work with them. No one has confessed up one hundred per cent yet, but all concerned think that perhaps Gene Kirk might know a little something about it. |
