Show Another Car or So to be Sent San Francisco will Need Supplies for at Least Two Weeks Longer. Word received from Mayor SchmlU and Oovcrnor Cutler Is to the elTcct that conditions In San Francisco arc such that assistance from the outside will be needed for at least two weeks yet. While supplies there at present answer the immediate need, there Is no way of getting sntllclcnt food through regular channels, and It Is urged that a cessation o( donations from tho country at I irge will leave the people In a very bad coddltlon. It Is proposed, if possible, to load a cay from Preston and Whitney down to Franklin, then anothercar from Hyde Park and Logan, and it is hoped that these cars may be sent speeding on their way tho early part of next week. Citlcns of outside town arc advised that they can unload their donations In the car as It is left at the stations San Francisco will not ask for more than she needs, and this second call slioukl meet with as ready response as I the first. |
