Show Tournament Scheduled Pizza Factory lead softball league for this annual event which represents the best softball in southern Utah. The public is cordially invited to attend this special event which has been scheduled on July 24 as a part of the Pioneer Day celebration activities in Cedar City. Pizza Factory and the weather were big winners in the Cedar City Softball Association this past week. Pizza Factory retained their league lead at the expense of Pederson Farms and Iron County Lumber. The weather was the winner in a pair of bouts as two games were postponed owing to inclement weather. Standings, through July n, were as follows: Pizza Factory 14 2 Coleman 12 3 Arctic Circle 12 4 Pearson Construction ... 8 6 Pederson Farms 8 8 Staheli Equipment 6 10 Ace Hardware 4 12 Iron County Lumber 4 12 Radio Shack -Snowdance 2 13 Other winners during the week include Pearson Construction over Arctic Circle 4-21' Ace Hardware over Radio Shack-Snowdance. Ace Hardware also shocked Staheli Equipment at Enterprise; En-terprise; Arctic Circle beat Iron County Lumber; Coleman defeated Ace Hardware and Pederson Farms bested Equipment in a battle between the two west Iron County clubs. Plans are now being formulated for-mulated for the Annual Cedar City Softball Association All-Slar game to be held Thursday, July 24, at 8 p.m. All-Stars from the nine participating par-ticipating teams will be matched |
