Show Groundbreaking held at Girls Camp improvements on roads, camp areas, water facilities, and rest room facilities. Pres. Blackburn told the girls as he turned over the first shovel of dirt that next year there will be a pavilion ready for protection from storms. Pres. Clemont Adams offered the benediction. As the Young Women of Cedar City, Utah Stake met on Web-sters Web-sters Flat for their annual Girls' Camp July 9, 10, 11, 12 there was a special event in store. On July 10, the Cedar Stake Presidency, Bishoprics, the Stake Committee and wives plus special guest, Evelyn Webster (who donated the land for Girls Camp) joined the girls and leaders for dinner then all went to the area cleared for a new pavilion where special services were held. Jula Rose DeMille, Young Women Director, Pres. Dan Crawford offered the opening prayer. Evelyn Webster was asked to give brief remarks. Cindy Sawyer led everyone in a song she composed and wrote the music for called "Ode to Girls' Camp." Pres. Charles Blackburn who has the direction of Girls Camp talked on the progress of it since it started on Webster's Flat in 1908. Young Women of the Cedar Stake surround Mrs. Evelyn Webster to participate in groundbreaking ground-breaking ceremonies at the Girls Camp on Cedar Mountain. Mrs. Webster donated property for the camp. Ceremony was held in connection with Girls Camp held this past week at the site. Many improvements are being planned for the future.
